Bangladesh, Sept. 20 -- The Cabinet Division has directed the authorities concerned to take departmental action against the government employees who will lobby through outsiders or influential quarters over the matters related to their jobs, describing such lobbying as misconduct.

Advertisement The Cabinet Division recently issued a letter in this regard. The letter instructed the relevant authorities to take necessary measures to prevent government employees from lobbying over employment-related matters, BSS reports.

The letter said the Government Servants (Conduct) Rules, 1979, clearly specified the standards of conduct that the government employees must follow in performing their duties.
