Dhaka, April 23 -- The government has decided to work jointly with Bishwa Shahitya Kendra (BSK) to promote reading habit among students in the country.

The decision was taken at a meeting between Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and BSK founder Professor Abdullah Abu Sayeed at Prime Minister's Cabinet Division office at Bangladesh Secretariat on Thursday.

"The meeting discussed the ways to develop the habit of reading books among students at primary, secondary, and higher secondary levels," said Prime Minister's Deputy Press Secretary Jahidul Islam Rony.

At the meeting, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman instructed all concerned to develop the habit of reading books among students.
