Bangladesh, Aug. 27 -- The government has announced a nationwide program to expand rooftop solar power and create a new network of entrepreneurs and service providers, aiming to accelerate the goals of the National Renewable Energy Development Strategy 2026-2030.

Advertisement Under the initiative, electricity distribution companies issued notices on Thursday to enlist qualified service providers across districts and regions.

These providers will deliver technical support, investment packages, customer service, and operation and maintenance facilities for rooftop solar and other renewable technologies, according to Thursday's press statement of the Power Division under the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources (MPEMR).
