Dhaka, April 30 -- A fire has broken out at a chemical warehouse in the Demra Amulia area of Dhaka.

At least four units of firefighters are currently working to control the blaze.

Fire Service Duty Officer Rashed Bin Khaled said the fire was reported at 11:38 am on Thursday.

He said the first unit of firefighters began firefighting efforts at 11:55 am, bdnews24.com reports.

However, he was initially unable to provide information on the cause of the fire or any casualties.

The fire broke out at an ink factory made of tin shed buildings in the Amulia Model Town area, according to Fire Service spokesman Anowarul Islam.
