Bangladesh, Oct. 26 -- The government has appointed Finance Secretary Dr Md Khairuzzaman Mozumder on a contractual basis for one year.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard on Monday.

Dr Khairuzzaman Mozumder has been serving as finance secretary since August 23, 2023. Before that, he served as secretary to the Energy and Mineral Resources Division.

According to the notification, he has been appointed under Section 49 of the Government Service Act, 2018, suspending his post-retirement leave and related benefits.
