Bangladesh, Sept. 23 -- The Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) 2026 opened Wednesday, aiming to expand the horizons of the country's halal industry across the globe.

Advertisement MIHAS is an event that has been organised since 2004. This year, the event opened at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur connects buyers from 58 countries, including Bangladesh.

The event-MIHAS--plays a major role in bridging Malaysian exporters with importers from other countries.

Malaysia projects that its halal market will reach roughly RM523.5 billion (US$113 billion) by 2030, with the sector expected to contribute about 11 percent of the national GDP.
