Energy minister urges NGOs to invest in renewable energy
Bangladesh, July 21 -- Minister of Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources, Iqbal Hasan Mahmood, has urged non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to invest in renewable energy, highlighting their crucial role in expanding solar power in rural areas.
He said increased use of solar energy would reduce fuel import costs, allowing the government to redirect savings towards development projects.
The minister was speaking at the 'Voice of Development' national workshop organised by the National Development Program (NDP) at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center on Monday.
