Dhaka, March 14 -- Bangladesh's Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Iqbal Hassan Mahmood is taking part in the Indo-Pacific Energy Security Ministerial and Business Forum, being held on March 14-15 in Tokyo, Japan.

The forum is co-hosted by Doug Burgum, chair of the US National Energy Dominance Council and US Secretary of the Interior; Chris Wright; and Japan's Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Akazawa Ryosei, said a senior energy ministry official.

Energy ministers from several Indo-Pacific countries - including Australia, Brunei, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Timor-Leste and Vietnam - are also attending the two-day meeting.
