Dhaka, Sept. 1 -- Reassured in Sunday's consultation with Chief Adviser of the interim government Dr Muhammad Yunus, BNP Secretary- General Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said the election would be held in due time already laid out.
"There is no doubt about that. The Chief Adviser has also confirmed this," he told reporters, as his party seniors nodded.
About the Jamaat allegation that the interim government aimed at an arranged election after the London meeting between Dr Yunus and BNP acting chairperson Tarique Rahman, he said the Chief Adviser can naturally meet with the head of country's largest political party.
"It is his jurisdiction," he adds.
