Dhaka, March 3 -- Leaders of Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) have held a gayebana janaza (funeral prayer in absentia) for Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, following his death.
The prayer took place at the VC Chattar on the Dhaka University campus around 10:40 pm on Sunday. DUCSU Vice President Abu Shadik Kayem led the prayers.
Students began gathering at the venue from 10:00pm. During the programme and they chanted various slogans, expressing solidarity with Iran and voicing opposition to what they described as 'US imperialism.'
