Dhaka, Dec. 31 -- Dhaka University has declared a three-day period of mourning in honour of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia who passed away at 6am on Tuesday.
The mourning will be observed from Tuesday (30 December) to Thursday (1 January).
During this period, all classes and examinations at the university will remain suspended.
The information was disclosed in a statement issued by the university's Public Relations Office on Tuesday morning. As part of the mourning observance, the national flag has been kept at half-mast at all academic and administrative buildings of the university from Tuesday.
