Dhaka, March 9 -- Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Ali Hossain Fakir on Monday said diplomatic efforts are underway to bring back the suspects in the murder of former Inquilab Mancha spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi.

Speaking at a press conference held at the Police Headquarters Media Centre, the newly appointed IGP said the authorities are working through diplomatic channels to return the accused, Faisal and Alamgir, to Bangladesh soon, as per local media reports.

He also said the police have prepared a list of terrorists and plan to launch a nationwide crackdown shortly to take effective action against terrorists and extortionists.
