Bangladesh, Aug. 19 -- The Dhaka bourse is occupied digging into years of documentation as the securities regulator probes into alleged irregularities including in the recent termination of employees of the exchange.

Advertisement The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) launched the investigation last week in efforts to find out if the top brass of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) had influenced the termination.

Sources at the DSE familiar with the matter said the market watchdog sought information in 24 categories.

"The requirement is so extensive that the volume of documents will be huge. The exchange's officials have been working relentlessly to produce them," one of the sources said, wishing not to be named.
