Dhaka, Feb. 7 -- CHATTOGRAM, Feb 06: After a six-day halt, the operational activities at the Chittagong Port resumed on Friday as the workers suspended their strike for two days.

As a result, the loading and unloading of goods and containers from ships at the jetties and the outer anchorage, as well as the transportation of goods and containers by lorries, trucks, and prime movers, started again in the morning.

On the other hand, the Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) banned its 15 employees from leaving the country.

The employees were transferred to the Mongla and Payra ports as they had protested against the decision to lease the New Mooring Container Terminal (NCT) of the Chittagong Port to a foreign company.
