Bangladesh, Sept. 30 -- The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) has revised its benchmark CSE50 Index, adding seven companies and excluding seven others based on the performance of listed companies.

The revised index will come into effect on October 11, according to a CSE press release issued on Wednesday.

The index is reviewed twice a year to reflect changes in the performance and market representation of listed companies.

The seven newly included companies are BSRM Steels, Berger Paints Bangladesh, Dhaka Bank, Fine Foods, Heidelberg Materials Bangladesh, Taufika Foods & Lovello Ice-Cream and The Ibn Sina Pharmaceuticals Industry.
