Dhaka, April 20 -- A court has ordered the seizure of income tax records of former Public Administration Minister Farhad Hossain and his wife, Syeda Monalisa Islam, after separate requests from the ACC.

They are accused of abusing power and gaining wealth beyond their known income. The information was confirmed by Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Deputy Director Md. Aktarul Islam.

The order was given on Monday by Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Sabbir Foyez.

ACC Assistant Director Khorshed Alam applied to seize their tax records.
