Commerce minister urges sector-based export plans to tap Saudi market
Dhaka, May 25 -- Commerce Minister Khandakar Abdul Muktadir has urged businesses to submit sector-specific and realistic proposals to expand Bangladesh's export footprint in Saudi Arabia and the Middle Eastern market.
He assured exporters that the government is ready to provide all necessary policy and financial support if they move away beyond conventional approaches and adopt strategic, sector-based plans.
The minister made the remarks during a meeting with a delegation from the Saudi Arabia-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SABCCI) at his secretariat office on Sunday.
