Dhaka, Dec. 25 -- Dhaka experienced a marked spell of winter on Thursday as dense fog and cold winds swept across the capital from early morning, intensifying the chill that had so far been more pronounced in rural areas.
The city recorded a minimum temperature of 14.2 degrees Celsius on Thursday (December 25), the lowest so far this season, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
Meteorologist Abul Kalam Mallik told Jago News in the morning that temperatures are expected to remain between 12 and 14 degrees Celsius in the coming days. He said the presence of fog made the cold feel more severe, but the chill is likely to ease after noon as the fog gradually clears.
