Dhaka, June 4 -- The investigation committee formed to probe the deaths of six newborns at Ad-din Hospital in Mogbazar, Dhaka, submitted its report on Thursday, finding clear evidence of negligence by the hospital authorities.

The report also identified gross negligence and lack of cooperation by the nurses on duty.

Presenting the key findings of the report at a briefing at the Secretariat on Thursday afternoon, Health Minister Sardar Md. Sakhawat Hossain said those responsible for the hospital's administration had failed to meet the basic requirements for operating a healthcare facility.
