Bangladesh, July 29 -- Former lawmaker Abdul Rahman Bodi orchestrated the "crossfire" killing of former Teknaf councillor Ekramul Haque, International Crimes Tribunal Chief Prosecutor Md Aminul Islam has alleged.

He spoke on Sunday after ICT-2 accepted formal charges against 11 people, including former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, over Ekramul's killing.

Aminul said the case was built on witness accounts and circumstantial evidence, alleging superior responsibility of Hasina, former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Obaidul Quader and Bodi.

"Bodi's meticulous design and planning led to this incident," he said, adding that Ekramul was his political rival.
