Dhaka, Feb. 13 -- BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has instructed leaders and activists at all organisational levels of the party not to hold any victory processions or rallies as the party moves towards a historic victory in the 13th national election.

Tarique also directed party leaders and supporters to offer special prayers across the country after Jumma prayers on Friday, according to a statement issued by the BNP Chairman's Press Secretary Saleh Shibli.

In a separate statement, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi extended greetings and congratulations to the people of the country, including those in Dhaka, following the party's victory in a large number of seats in the election, UNB reports.
