Bangladesh, Aug. 4 -- Two trade bodies from the textile and apparel sector on Tuesday teamed up to organise a fair aiming to draw investment and help the country achieve US$100 billion in export earnings from garment shipments.

Advertisement In this connection, Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) and Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at an event held in the auditorium of Gulshan Club in Dhaka.

BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan and BTMA President Showkat Aziz Russell signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organisations.

The fair, called Bangladesh International Textile and Apparel Machinery Exhibition (BITMA), will take place in December.
