Dhaka, March 3 -- The country's energy regulator has kept the 'official' price of 12-kg liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder unchanged at Tk 1,341 each for the month of March, although its market price is 50 per cent higher at around Tk 2,000.
The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) fixed the price as part of its monthly routine, and it was effective from 6:00 pm Monday, according to a notice.
Neither the government nor the BERC, however, is doing anything to ensure that the consumers get the fuel at the price fixed by the commission, it has been alleged.
