Bangladesh, Aug. 25 -- Bangladesh Bank (BB) Governor Md Mostaqur Rahman on Tuesday directed the chairman and managing director of Sammilito Islami Bank PLC to take necessary measures to protect depositors' interests and resume normal banking operations at the earliest.

Advertisement The governor gave the directives at a meeting with Sammilito Islami Bank PLC Chairman Kazi Shairul Hasan and Managing Director Abedur Rahman Sikder at Bangladesh Bank this morning, BSS reported citing a press release.

Bangladesh Bank Deputy Governors Dr Md Habibur Rahman, Dr Md Kabir Ahmed, Md Sarwar Hossain and Md Anisur Rahman were present at the meeting.
