Banglalink solar system to cut Cumilla data centre's grid power use by 6pc
Bangladesh, Aug. 25 -- Banglalink has installed a 50-kW rooftop solar power system at its Cumilla Data Centre as part of its efforts to promote environmentally responsible and energy-efficient digital infrastructure.

The system, installed on 2,500 square feet of previously unused rooftop space, is expected to generate around 85,000 kWh of clean electricity annually. This will reduce the facility's grid electricity consumption by an estimated 6 per cent during solar generation hours.
The solar system is also expected to cut carbon emissions by around 52 tonnes a year and save approximately Tk 1.2 million in annual energy costs.
