Bangladesh, Sept. 25 -- With the approval, Bangladesh has become the first country in South Asia to introduce Starlink Direct-to-Cell connectivity, according to Banglalink.

The service will allow Banglalink subscribers with 4G-enabled handsets to connect through Starlink satellites in areas covered by the service, without requiring a special handset, satellite dish or additional equipment.

Initially, customers will be able to use SMS, data messaging and WhatsApp calls through the satellite connection, the operator said.
