Dhaka, June 8 -- Members of the Bangladeshi community in Sheffield on Sunday came together for a vibrant picnic, enjoying a day filled with traditional games, cultural activities, and delicious homemade food.

With a view to strengthening social bonds, promoting cultural heritage, and providing an opportunity for Bangladeshis to mingle in a relaxed and festive atmosphere, Sompritir Bangladesh (Harmonious Bangladesh), an organisation of Bangladeshi expatriates in Sheffield, held the event, according to a press release.

Led by Syed Mujakkir Ahmad, the president of the organisation, participants had a brisk trek at the Hope Valley, a mountainous landscape in Derbyshire, England, as the first leg of the event.
