Dhaka, June 24 -- The Australian High Commissioner, Susan Ryle and UNICEF Bangladesh Representative, Rana Flowers signed a new AUD16 million (BDT137 crore) agreement with UNICEF in the presence of the Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed, said a press release on Wednesday.

Australia's contribution to the crises uniquely provides flexible, predictable funding that is critical in the current humanitarian context.

This flexible funding will enable UNICEF to allocate resources where and when needed most, adapt quickly to emerging challenges, and sustain essential services for children living in complex and evolving conditions.
