Dhaka, Feb. 12 -- Members of the Bangladesh Army detained 13 BNP activists on suspicion of attempting to seize two polling stations in Dhaka's Ashulia early Thursday, officials said.

The detainees were later handed over to Ashulia police station, UNB reports.

Around 12:30 am, an army patrol team conducted an operation at the Notun Nagar New Model School and College polling station in Ward No. 5 of Dhamsona Union and detained nine BNP activists.
