Dhaka, Aug. 24 -- The Arakan Army has abducted 14 more fishermen along with two trawlers from the Naf River estuary in Teknaf, within a day of seizing another group of 12.
Teknaf Upazila administrator (UNO) Sheikh Ehsan Uddin confirmed the development on Sunday, reports bdnews24.com.
"We are receiving reports that 14 fishermen aboard two trawlers were seized from the Naikhyangdia area today," he said. "We are looking into the matter."
He added: "Our law-enforcing agencies are already working on yesterday's incident in which 12 fishermen, along with their boat, were taken away."
