Dhaka, June 3 -- As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, Al-Arafah Islami Bank has launched a nationwide financial assistance program for fishermen affected by the annual fishing ban, according to a press release.

Under the program, financial support amounting to Tk. 7.9 million will be distributed among 784 fishermen across the country.

The inauguration ceremony was held in Cox's Bazar on June 3, 2026, where the Managing Director and CEO of the Bank Mohd. Rafat Ullah Khan officially launched the program. Deputy Managing Director of the Bank Md. Fazlur Rahman Chowdhury and District Fisheries Officer Nazmul Huda attended the event as Special Guests.
