Bangladesh, Sept. 21 -- Implementation of the Annual Development Programme (ADP) stood at only 1.85 percent in July-August of the current 2026-27 fiscal year, the lowest rate in the last five years.

Advertisement According to the latest ADP implementation progress report, ministries and divisions spent Tk 5,709.70 crore during the first two months of FY27 against an annual allocation of Tk 3,08,924.86 crore, UNB reports.

In July-August of FY26, they spent Tk 5,714.83 crore against an annual allocation of Tk 2,38,696 crore, resulting in an implementation rate of 2.39 percent.

Thus, development spending in the first two months of FY27 was Tk 5.13 crore lower than in the same period a year earlier.
