Bangladesh, July 31 -- The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has appointed Qingfeng Zhang as its new Country Director for Bangladesh.

The veteran development specialist assuming charge in Dhaka on Thursday to lead one of the bank's largest country programmes.

Prior to this appointment, Mr Zhang served as Senior Director in ADB's Agriculture, Food, Nature, and Rural Development Sector Office, where he led the bank's strategic and operational engagement in advancing sustainable and resilient development across the Asia-Pacific region.
