Dhaka, April 28 -- BRAC University held a daylong programme at its Merul Badda campus in Dhaka on Monday (April 27), marking the 90th birth anniversary of its founder, Sir Fazle Hasan Abed, says a media statement.

The event commemorated the late development leader's lasting contributions and also coincided with the formal launch of the university's 25th anniversary celebrations. Vice-Chancellor Professor Syed Ferhat Anwar unveiled the Silver Jubilee logo, marking the beginning of the year-long observance. The university was founded on June 16, 2001.

The programme paid tribute to Sir Fazle Hasan Abed's legacy and values, which organisers said continue to guide efforts towards building a more just, inclusive and compassionate society.
