New Delhi, July 30 -- DUBAI - American warplanes carried out what US Central Command described as a "heavy wave" of strikes against Iran early Wednesday, targeting dozens of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps installations across six southern provinces in one of the most geographically sweeping attacks of the conflict's fifth month.

The targets, according to CENTCOM's assessment, included IRGC command centers, missile production and storage facilities, drone manufacturing sites, and coastal surveillance infrastructure built along the Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.
