New Delhi, July 12 -- LONDON - British police on Saturday arrested a second man in connection with the murder of Ann Widdecombe, detaining a 28-year-old in South Yorkshire, more than 300 kilometres north of the Dartmoor village where the former Conservative MP was killed, as an investigation that began without a credible suspect expanded in scope and geography.

it is no longer confined to southwest England, and the person now in custody had no obvious geographic connection to the place where Widdecombe lived and died.
