New Delhi, Oct. 13 -- launch coverage identifies SBC as its Bluetooth codec, not a lossless wireless connection.

The player went on sale in October with a starting price of $79.99 including a 16GB microSD card, according to StereoNET's launch report. A version supplied with a 64GB card costs $119.99. Both support cards up to 256GB, so the bundled card size is not the maximum library capacity.

Fosi's European product listing identifies a Cirrus Logic CS43198 digital-to-analog converter and rates playback at up to 12 hours per charge. The chip converts digital music data into the analog signal used by wired headphones. Its presence identifies a component in the design, not an independent verdict on the sound of the finished player.
