Bulgaria Receives 2 US Anti-Drone Systems From Axon After Ukrainian Drone Breaches NATO Airspace
SOFIA, Aug. 18 -- Nine days after a Ukrainian drone drifted across Bulgarian airspace and crashed within two hundred meters of a border checkpoint, the first two anti-drone systems ordered by Sofia under a European Union defense financing scheme arrived from an American manufacturer and were handed over to the Bulgarian military.
Defence Minister Dimitar Stoyanov confirmed the delivery of the two systems, produced by Axon, a US company that began in law enforcement technology and has since expanded its product line into counter-drone hardware.
