Tanzania, Aug. 18 -- Dar es Salaam. Kenyan runners dominated the 2026 CRDB Bank International Marathon at the weekend, but beyond the competition, the event delivered a wider message on the power of sport to promote health, community development and social responsibility.

Held at the TTCL Grounds in Kijitonyama, the marathon attracted runners from Tanzania and beyond, with Kenyan athletes again demonstrating their strength in long-distance running. Their strong showing added a competitive edge to an event whose significance extended well beyond the finishing line.
