Tanzania, Aug. 6 -- Morogoro. The Tanzania Electric Supply Company (Tanesco) has completed the first phase of stringing transmission lines for the 400-kilovolt (kV) Chalinze-Dodoma power transmission project, paving the way for the restoration of electricity services in areas affected by the works.

The utility said the six-day exercise at Mkambarani in Morogoro Region was completed safely and on schedule, marking another milestone towards the completion of the strategic transmission line.
