Tanzania, March 25 -- Dar es Salaam. The High Court of Tanzania, Commercial Division, has ordered that a multimillion-dollar oil supply dispute be referred to arbitration in London, while confirming that Numora Trading has no substantive case to answer in the matter.
The ruling, delivered on February 20, 2026 relates to a contractual dispute filed by Burundi-based oil importer, Prestige Investment SA, over a shipment of 20,000 cubic metres of petrol stored in Tanzania prior to export to Burundi.
The court directed that the dispute be resolved by the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), in line with the arbitration clause contained in the parties' agreement.
