Dhaka, April 28 -- A young man was detained on April 28 after breaching security and entering a restricted runway-adjacent area through the domestic terminal at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

The incident took place at approximately 6:15am, according to airport sources. The individual managed to cross security barriers and reached near the apron area, which is strictly prohibited for unauthorized persons.

The detainee has been identified as Ferdous, a 22-year-old resident of Meherpur District. During initial questioning, he told authorities that he had come to the airport to receive his uncle.
