Bangladesh, Sept. 2 -- The British High Commission in Dhaka hosted a pre-departure reception for Bangladeshi scholars selected for the UK Government-funded Chevening and Commonwealth scholarship programs this year.

Held at the British High Commissioner's Residence, the event brought together departing scholars, scholarship alumni, representatives of the Bangladesh Association of Commonwealth Scholars and Fellows and the Chevening Alumni Association of Bangladesh, as well as partners supporting UK scholarship programs, read an embassy release.

The reception provided an opportunity for the scholars to connect with alumni and fellow awardees before beginning their postgraduate studies at universities across the United Kingdom.
