Bangladesh, Aug. 17 -- Thailand is moving forward with plans to develop seaplane services aimed at improving connections between cities, coastal areas and islands, particularly destinations where land-based transport is limited.

The Ministry of Transport has established a strategic integration committee to coordinate the development of the sector, including infrastructure, regulations, services and long-term operational planning.

The initiative will focus on creating a framework covering aviation safety, environmental protection, community interests and operational requirements. Authorities also plan to strengthen cooperation between government agencies and private-sector operators as the country develops the new mode of transport.
