Dhaka, April 28 -- Singapore Airlines (SIA) has withdrawn its Airbus A380 superjumbo from 11 routes, according to an analysis of Cirium Diio data spanning 19 years of operations. The carrier remains a significant A380 operator, with 12 of the double-deck wide-bodies, each configured with 471 seats across four cabins.
SIA was the launch customer for the A380, receiving its first example in October 2007. Since then, it has accumulated thousands of departures on numerous routes before gradually scaling back the type's network.
