Bangladesh, July 27 -- The government has pledged that Biman Bangladesh Airlines' newly relaunched Dhaka-Narita direct service will remain operational, with Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afroza Khanam saying there is "no question" of suspending the route again in the future.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the resumed service at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on early July 27, the minister said the government expects the route to become commercially viable, noting that bookings have already been completed for the inaugural flight as well as the return and subsequent services.
