Dhaka, May 15 -- Lufthansa Technik Philippines (LTP), the joint venture between Germany's Lufthansa Technik and MacroAsia Corp., will discontinue its line maintenance services effective August 1, as the company shifts its focus toward base maintenance and overhaul operations.

The move is part of a strategic realignment of LTP's business portfolio in the Philippines, where it has long served as a maintenance partner for Philippine Airlines (PAL).

PAL, LTP's partner for over 25 years, has decided to expand its internal maintenance capabilities by taking over all line maintenance activities through its own existing maintenance organization.
