Bangladesh, July 2 -- The government has initiated the process of replacing the existing 2006 visa policy with a new framework aimed at facilitating the entry and exit of foreign nationals, boosting foreign investment and supporting the growth of the tourism sector.

A draft of the proposed Visa Policy 2026 was presented at the Cabinet meeting on July 2.

The Cabinet decided to form a committee, led by the finance minister, to examine and further refine the draft before it is finalized.

According to officials, the proposed policy seeks to establish a modern, efficient, and service-oriented immigration system.
