Global tourism investment tops USD 1tr in 2025: WTTC
Bangladesh, Aug. 6 -- The WTTC's Global Trends Report revealed that travel and tourism investment increased by 8.5 percent year-on-year in 2025, while the sector contributed a record USD 11.6 trillion to global GDP, outperforming the broader global economy.
According to the report, the United States, China, India, and Saudi Arabia accounted for nearly half of global tourism-related capital investment last year, investing close to USD 500 billion collectively. The four countries continue to expand infrastructure, improve connectivity and introduce policies aimed at strengthening their tourism industries.
