Bangladesh, Sept. 29 -- Biman Bangladesh Airlines is set to sign an agreement in October to purchase 10 Airbus aircraft as the national flag carrier moves to expand its fleet, Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat said on September 29.

"Yes, we are buying 10 Airbus aircraft. Inshallah, the agreement will be signed in October," he told journalists at the Secretariat. Autos& Vehicles

The proposed Airbus package includes four A350-900 widebody aircraft and six A321neo narrowbody jets. Deliveries are expected to begin in 2033 and continue through 2036 or 2037.

Millat said Biman was also seeking to lease 10 aircraft to meet immediate demand but had yet to secure them.
